I’m Amber, Founder and Lead Coordinator at Out West Events. The most important thing you need to know about me is that I freaking love my job. But if you want more… here’s how I got to where I am today:
2020 was a wild year for me (said literally everyone, I know). I got engaged to my now strikingly handsome and wonderful husband during the holiday season in 2019, and early 2020 turned in to full-send wedding planning. All of the fun came to a screeching halt in March, when my August wedding began to look like a dream of the past. Thankfully, restrictions were lifted, we pushed through, and had the most magical day regardless of the dumpster fire that was happening all around us.
After we got married, I felt bored. My job as a full-time event planner in the higher education industry had quickly turned into Zoom Webinar extraordinaire and AV tech – and that just wasn’t filling my creative cup. Then one day, I met with my photographer for coffee after my wedding, and she put the bug in my ear that maybe I should consider being a wedding planner, and well, here we are. A few weeks later I had myself a business coach and dove in head first. Nothing like starting a business in the middle of a pandemic, ya know?
regardless, I haven't looked back since!
Planning weddings has been the well-made spicy margarita with a tajin rim that fills my cup every single day. Getting to know our couples, serving them, helping them understand the intricacies of planning and design, celebrating them, and making their most memorable day a reality is what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Megan lives for all things wedding! She has been working in the event industry since 2007 and has had the pleasure of seeing hundreds of sweet couples say "I do". What an honor to be a part of the biggest days of peoples lives! She never takes it for granted and will always work tirelessly to ensure an event is both beautiful and seamlessly executed to perfection.
When she isn't pinning boutonnieres, running timelines and sneaking in a few dance moves at your reception, you can find her cheering loudly on the soccer field, planning her next vacation, fan-girling over Taylor Swift, or exploring the great outdoors! She is the only girl in a house full of handsome boys - 3 amazing sons and a sweet husband of 16 years - and she wouldn't have it any other way.
Born and raised in Columbus Ohio, Taylor graduated from University of Cincinnati where she began her career in hospitality. While in school, she explored different areas of event planning for the Ronald McDonald House, and the University of Cincinnati Conference & Events Department. Upon graduation, she moved to Austin, TX and lived there for four years working as an event manager. Two years ago, she found herself in Colorado and hasn't looked back. Taylor discovered her love of events while working for her cousin; a wedding planner in Columbus, OH. In her free time you can find her hiking in the mountains, winery hopping with her friends, or at a country music concert.
Taylor loves weddings because of the people! She loves being a part of the couples most magical and exciting day, surrounded by their family and friends. It is an incredible feeling overseeing every detail put together and seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces as they support the couple’s special day.
